Jackson County graduates can further their education at several colleges and universities located nearby.

Strong workforce training programs are offered at educational institutions, as well as through the public school system. 81% of Jackson County’s populace has a high school diploma, and 12% have a bachelor’s degree or better from a college or university.

Chipola College is proud to offer a variety of degrees and certificates for students. Chipola’s most popular program continues to be the Associate in Arts degree which provides the first two years of college for students planning to transfer to a university at the junior level.

Chipola also awards Bachelor’s Degrees in Business Administration with majors in Accounting, Engineering Management, Information Systems and Management; Education with majors in Elementary Education, English Education, Exceptional Student Education, Middle School Mathematics Education, Middle School Science Education, Secondary Mathematics Education, and Secondary Biology Education; and Nursing with majors in Registered Nurse to Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. The Foundation’s Beall Endowment and SUCCEED Florida! provide free tuition for qualified students. Chipola also offers several Associate in Science (AS) programs, as well as a number of Workforce programs which provide training for high wage jobs.

Baptist College

Snuggled away in the Northwest corner of the county is the unassuming town of Graceville, Florida, the home of The Baptist College of Florida (BCF). Graceville’s peaceful tranquility only heightens the appeal of the school that has played a significant role in transforming Florida, the Southeast United States, and even the far reaches of the world.
